Welcome! I’m Felix, an atmospheric scientist and mathematician.

I am currently a PhD student in the “Aerosols and Clouds” research group lead by Dr. Matthias Tesche at Leipzig University. I am investigating the Lagrangian evolution of clouds in satellite and model data. Cloud tracking enables an in-depth look into their formation and evolution processes as well as including an extra dimension of time in the form of the lifetime of clouds. In a recent project we used cloud tracking as a tool for a more detailed comparison between satellite and model data, not only relying on spatially and temporally aggregated data.
